Great Start to the New Year

Kenny and I have had a wonderful weekend with our friends in Decatur. We are very close with neighbors and enjoy spending time with them. On Friday, Jeremy, Kenny's co-worker, adopted a dog from the Humane Society, so naturally, we had a dog party! We went over to Jeremy's with toys and treats for Riley, his 5 year black lab. Kenny instantly fell in love with Riley, and she sat in his lap(and everyone else that was on the couch-she is so big!) the whole night!It was really inspiring to me that Jeremy adopted a dog, I plan to start volunteering at the Humane Society as a dog walker with my friend Julie. We both want pets but know that we don't have the time to make that commitment. We plan to go weekly on Fridays. =) Kenny was the most animated I had ever seen him, he was super outgoing and cranking jokes with everyone. Later, we went to Katz, a martini bar downtown to do a little dancing! After Katz, Amy and Neil, our neighbors came over to watch Inception and eat Kenny's Homemade pizza! Then on Saturday, my friend Patty and I went to the Decatur Bridal Expo. It was bigger and better than I thought. It was free to get in, I got free reusable bags, hair spray, heat protection spray and I got my hair done into an updo.

When I came home, Kenny was gaming

The back was messy, I don't think this is how I will do my hair for the wedding, but it was still fun. Later that night, as a group we went out to Olive Garden. Our friend Julie had her little sister come down to visit. Olive Garden was very busy, the food was great, and we saw Ken's old boss there! We went back to Julie's apartment to play Would You Rather? which was silly, the game consists of funny and sometimes disgusting questions. Once we wrapped the game up, we went to Curly's, which is our neighborhood bar for kareoke! Us girls kareoke'd Don't Stop Believin' and Kissed a Girl. We also ran into another co-worker of Kenny's! After that we went back to Neil's apartment to watch Hot Tub Time Machine.Kate, Bernie, Amy and Julie.

Today, Sunday-Funday, I went to my first spin class with one our neighbors, I loved it! It was very exhausting and tiring but so worth it. The ADM gym is huge, and they offer a lot of classes. I plan to start going with Ken. We both have a goal of getting in shape this year, this is one way we plan to achieve that. We also got a Kinect for XBox so now we can play video games together, and do work out challenges as well. I am really exciting about the Kinect-we plan to get Dance Revolution!! Also the Kinect has a built in webcam so we can Skype!! Tonight, we are going over to Neil's for deer tenderloin. Neil loves to hunt so he is fixing us one of his "kills"...
